When you book a holiday, a contract is made when your booking is confirmed in writing by Surf South West. A deposit is payable at the time of booking. The person signing the booking form accepts responsibility for payment for everyone listed on the booking and is responsible for ensuring that all other persons listed on the booking form have read the booking conditions below and are aware of the booking details.
The balance is due eight weeks before the date of departure. If you book less than eight weeks before departure, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking. Final reminders will not be sent.
For your financial protection, Surf South West complies with the European Package Travel Directive by holding all monies in an independently administered trust account until the completion of your holiday. The trust account is administered by Stevens And Willey Certified Accountants, 9 Boutport St, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 1TZ.
We will make every effort to arrange any changes you request after the booking has been confirmed, however any changes to dates or courses are subject to availability of accommodation and course places. Any change within 20 days of departure carry an administration charge of £15.
All cancellations must be sent in writing and will be effective on the date which they are received by Surf South West. Cancellation charges are payable as follows:

If your cancellation is within the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to make a claim.
Flights should be arranged through an ABTA or ATOL bonded travel agent. Your contract for the flight arrangements is not with Surf South West and as such Surf South West cannot be held responsible for any delays or other problems which may arise with your flights.
Surf South West act as booking agents for Surf School Lanzarote. Please satisfy yourself on arrival that you accept their terms and conditions. In the unlikely event of any problem with your accommodation or tuition, please bring it to the attention of Surf School Lanzarote immediately. Also please inform us upon your return. The apartments are privately owned, therefore please show respect for their property and report any breakages or damage. Your accommodation is not to be shared or let to anyone not listed on the booking form. Please note that there is no lifeguard cover on Playa de Famara.
Surf South West organises holidays to destinations renowned for consistent surf. However due the unpredictable nature of surf conditions, we cannot be held responsible if you are unlucky enough to find unsuitable conditions during your holiday. Please note there is no lifeguard cover on many surfing beaches.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the accuracy of information is correct, we are relieved of any liability due to errors or omissions. The prices printed in brochures and fact sheets are valid at the time of publication. We reserve the right to increase or reduce any of these prices any time after publication. You will be advised of any changes at the time of booking.
The activity of surfing carries with it a degree of risk both to people and property, even if enjoyed under supervision by qualified instructors. It is also a strenuous activity that requires those taking part to have a reasonable standard of swimming and fitness. All holiday participants must therefore make Surf South West aware of any medical conditions, illnesses or allergies they may have and any prescribed medication they are taking on the booking form at the time of booking. No-one should participate in surfing if they are suffering from a heart condition or if they are pregnant. All holiday participants must be able to swim at least 50 metres and must in no circumstances be under the influence of any alcohol, drugs or medication while surfing which may adversely affect their physical abilities. Surf South West does not seek to limit or exclude any liability for personal injury or loss of life which may occur as a result of its own negligence or that of its employees, officers or agents. However, Surf South West assumes no liability in respect of any personal injury, loss, damage, consequential loss or third party claims which occur through no fault of its own, its employees, officers or agents. All other liability or conditions implied by law are excluded to the fullest extent possible.
