Holiday Questions

How do I book a surf holiday?
To book one of our holidays, contact us to check availability and then return our surf holiday booking form which can be found on our website or we can forward to you. A £50 deposit secures your holiday and the balance is due eight weeks prior to departure. Please book early - we limit the numbers on each trip and our group flight rates are often valid for a limited time.

How do I get there?
Flights for our holidays are arranged through our local ABTA bonded travel agent, and they aim to find the best deal, arrange group discounts and organise surfboard carriage. Of course, you are free to book your flight elsewhere, but let us know so we can ensure your flight arrangements coincide with the rest of the group.

Are the group holidays suitable for children?
Our holidays are for adults over 18 years of age. We can organise a family holiday to any of our destinations, please contact us with your individual requirements.

Will I be in the company of surfers more experienced than myself?
It's probably the most common concern our first time guests have. We find that everyone is reassured when they meet the mix of surfers on our holidays. All our destinations offer a range of conditions to suit all abilities. Most surfers on our trips are not experts, in fact many have less than three years experience. Give us a call if you're not sure which destination best suits your ability and we'll offer some pointers. The main requirement is to want to have fun!

Do you cater for singles?
On most of our group holidays approximately 60% of guests come on their own and are always welcome. Shared accommodation options are available on all our group holidays, so to reduce costs we can arrange for you to share with one or two others in a single sex apartment. We will run through your options at the time of booking.

Can you tailor a holiday just for me?
We can arrange a surf holiday to any of our destinations and book accommodation, car rental (if required) and liase with our travel agents to book your flights. With Lanzarote and Costa Rica we can also book surf tuition and guidance. please call us in the office on 01271 890400, or send us an email .

What do I need to bring?

A useful list of things to bring will be sent with your booking confirmation. If you have your own surfboard we always recommend bringing it with you as you will always progress quicker and benefit more from surfing equipment you are familiar with. If required, surfboard and wetsuit hire can be arranged locally at all our destinations.

Financial Protection
For your financial protection, Surf South West complies with the European Package Travel Directive by holding all monies in an independently administered trust account until the completion of your holiday.
